It may be surprising to you but exercise is where the majority of people fall down when it comes to weight loss. How many people have you heard complaining that they’re not losing weight even though they have been hammering the gym? The reason is simple. As we’ve mentioned many times before, the most important factor in weight loss is nutrition. So, if you’re looking to ‘downsize’, please spend some time getting a handle on your nutrition before you start delving into the wonderful world of exercise; if you don’t you’ll definitely be wasting your time.
Maximum results, minimum effort
What exactly are you spending your time doing in the gym? 20 minutes cardio? 20 press-ups and 10 minutes on the cross-trainer? When it comes to exercise there’s a right way and a wrong way to do it. Your body is more complex than you think when it comes to burning fat and you’ll see much better results by doing shorter, more intense sessions than long, drawn out stints of arduous cardio. This may not be news to you as if you do your research you’ll find that the advice being dealt out by reputable sources is changing. Don’t be the fat guy doing wrist curls in the corner; do some research and make sure every session counts.
Your virtual personal trainer
Although many PTs are extremely competent, a frightening large number have no idea what they’re doing. If you’re brand new to fitness and exercise than a proper PT may be the way to go, in fact, essential if you’re looking at getting into strength training. However, please be a sceptical and do your homework.
There’s loads of quality information online and we’ll be sharing anything useful that we find from our trusted sources. We also have a growing exercise database and an Exercise Guide which comes free with our weight loss eBook. Remember: maximum results, minimum effort!
